[ RECYCLING ]
Every swirl in these pieces is made from all the odds and ends from all those hours spent playing, experimenting, failing, and learning.
The majority of this clay has come from the large recycling buckets at TAFE Murwillumbah. Stoneware, midfire, earthenware, glaze chips, stains, sticks, hair, everything. Some clay has come from my buckets at home and scrappy bits from everywhere else.
All have been midfired to △ 6 and all these pieces photographed here have been either sold or NFS.
If you would like a swirly recycled piece, email me. I’ll see what odds and ends I have on hand and let you know. Each batch and each piece is different, unpredictable, and irreplicable.
Clay is infinitely recyclable.

“You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there.”
– Maya Angelou

The above vases are from four batches of recycled clays. The centre light vase remains to be one of my favourites. Made from two separate batches then joined on the wheel.
